Pastor Ed is a three-parter with the first episode airing later this month
A Belfast writer and director has created a Northern Irish version of Father Ted for a new web series.
Speaking to Belfast Live about the series, Sean said: "I'm a huge Father Ted fan and have always been very into sitcoms. It's my dream to one day write a sitcom for mainstream television like Derry Girls. "For example, in the opening to episode two, I took the famous 'Down with this sort of thing' scene but instead of picketing a movie, Ed and Dennis have been told to picket a gay nightclub with signs saying 'Down with this sort of kink.' This sets the stage for them to get into all sorts of shenanigans.
In writing the series, Sean spent time speaking to people from different backgrounds to ensure they were approaching sensitive topics in the right way. "With every new film, I come away having learned something. There is no better feeling than coming together with friends and creating a project you're all passionate about!"
