Award-winning BBC Scotland presenter Nick Sheridan's cause of death has been revealed by friends after his sad death at the age of 32
The award-winning presenter's death was announced online by the BBC on Thursday morning. It was announced that Nick, 32, had died after a "short illness" but in a statement, Gary Smith, Head of News and Current Affairs, said: "Nick has been a wonderful colleague. He was a hugely talented journalist, presenter and author and one of those rare people who light up the lives of everyone around them.
Amy Irons, who hosts BBC Scotland's news channel, added:"Absolutely devastated. The world has lost one of its brightest human beings and journalism has lost one of the most talented people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. We are all going to miss you so much Nick." Lewis Main, who was helped by Nick early in his career, said: "This is so so sad.
