Police want to find a motorcyclist whom they believe caused the deadly crash.
A woman was killed and three children were hospitalized Sunday after a car crash on the city’s Northwest Side, San Antonio Police said.
Police said the woman, identified as 38-year-old Tanya Hernandez, was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe on Interstate 10 West with three children in the vehicle between the ages of 10 and 15, when a motorcycle traveling at high speeds cut in front of the Tahoe. Hernandez lost control while trying to avoid hitting the motorcycle and struck the left side guard rail, propelling the Tahoe across the main lane of traffic and into a grassy median between the highway and access road. The vehicle traveled several feet before crashing head on into a highway support beam.Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene, and the three children were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police are searching for the driver of the motorcycle, who will face multiple failure to stop and render aid charges if found.
