Judge Charles H. Saylor Thursday continued the trial of Samantha Jo Delcamp until the April term. Jury selection had been scheduled for Monday. Saylor gave him until Feb. 13 to submit a brief on why such evidence would be admissible under the circumstance since Delcamp is not asserting self-defense.Delcamp, who testified for the prosecution against Burgess and his mother Christy Willis, has alleged her ex-boyfriend was physically abusive to her and her daughter.and related charges and is serving a state prison sentence of 24 to 50 years.
Burgess at his trial admitted picking up Arabella on Oct. 10, 2019, because she was not eating and throwing her toward a couch.
