There are some people who might be missing out a social welfare payment that is worth nearly a thousand euro a month, after being increased at the start of the year
The One-Parent Family Payment is a payment for people under 66 who are bringing children up without the support of a partner.
The social welfare scheme was increased by €12 a week from January 2025, resulting in an annual boost of €624. How much is for the One-Parent Family Payment? The maximum personal weekly rate is €244, with added money given for dependent children. For a child aged under 12 years, people will get an additional €50 and for a child aged 12 years and over, you will be given an added €62. As long as your youngest child is under the age limit, you will get a Child Support Payment for any other children in the family until they reach 18 .You can find more information on this payment here.
