Mother-of-one Olesja Hertova (48) of Hastings Lawn in Balbriggan appeared before Judge Monika Leech at Dublin District Court

A woman has appeared in court charged with causing serious harm to her partner of 16 years, who suffered a fatal fractured skull at their home in north County Dublin and died the day after.

Det Hughes said he received DPP directions late on Tuesday night and further time is required for the completion and submission of an investigation file for further charges to be contemplated. Det Hughes said the State is objecting to bail and formally outlined his objections under Section 2 of the Bail Act.

The detective alleged the accused attended Balbriggan Garda Station seeking the return of her passport which the accused denied through her solicitor.
