"Rain will become light and patchy tonight, with mainly dry conditions developing for a time. Further outbreaks of rain will move into the west and northwest overnight. Lowest temperatures of 8C to 11C with moderate to fresh and gusty east to northeast winds easing and becoming light to moderate northerly overnight."Winds at Sherkin Island are gusting to 83kmh, while 12mm of rain has already fallen at Dunmanway according to Carlow Weather.
"Dursey Cable Car will not be operational on Sunday 29th due to strong and gusty winds. It will resume operations when weather conditions permit and following inspection if necessary. Updates will be available on @CorkCoCo social media. Take extra care when crossing the road or cycling in extremely windy conditions, as a sudden gust of wind could blow you into the path of an oncoming vehicle.
Road users should always follow recommended routes and obey signs closing roads to traffic that have been put there by the local council or An Garda Síochána.
