Comedian Patrick Kielty took aim at Samantha Mumba's controversial tweet about the Eurosong panel during a skit on The Late Late Show. Kielty pretended to receive Valentine's Day cards, ultimately revealing one with a picture of an aubergine and a message referencing Mumba's outburst.
The Co Down funnyman couldn’t resist addressing the controversy which dominated headlines earlier this week.
Kielty continued: “Wow, ‘From Samantha Mumba to the panel of the Eurosong.” It was a reference to the war of the words which erupted after last week's show. Later on the show, Kielty was joined by Hollywood star Christina Hendricks and Irish actor Chris O’Dowd who chatted about their new series Small Town, Big Story, which is set in rural Ireland.
