Stagecoach has vowed to carry out a 'thorough investigation' into the cause of the incident
A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a bus on a busy road in south Manchester on Tuesday evening . The incident sparked a huge emergency services response on Wilmslow Road in Rusholme.
The North West Ambulance Service has said the pedestrian, who's age has not been confirmed, sustained injuries to his arm and leg in the incident, but was conscious and still breathing at the scene.The northbound side of the busy main road was blocked off temporarily, causing congestion and delays on public transport in and out of the city centre. Numerous officers remained at the scene as the casualty was treated before he was taken to hospital for treatment.
Stagecoach, the provider of the bus involved, has vowed to carry out a 'thorough investigation' into the cause of the incident. Greater Manchester Police have been approached for more information.
