Paul Casey and Peter Kostis have mutually decided to end their 24-year partnership, with the former's relationship with LIV Golf seemingly playing a part in the split
Phil Mickelson expressed his admiration for fellow LIV Golf star Paul Casey and his long-time coach Peter Kostis, following the end of their 24-year partnership over the weekend.
"Long-term relationships are getting rarer and rarer these days and I'm proud of the number of students I've had for 10-15-20-30 years and even longer in a few cases! Under Kostis' guidance, Casey established himself as one of the top golfers globally, reaching as high as third in the Official World Golf Ranking . In 2022, the Englishman decided to switch gears by joining LIV Golf, following the path of Mickelson and others.
Paul Casey's career has soared with the help of coach Kostis, achieving triumphs across the PGA Tour and DP World Tour. Despite their successes in America and Europe, Casey's allegiance has shifted to the controversial LIV series over two years ago.
