The Belgian has hit back at the negativity surrounding Rangers and insists he's not interested in being written off in today's Old Firm clash
But he’s neither deaf, nor daft. And in the build-up to the first Old Firm derby of the season today, he’ll have felt the negative vibes around his club. The Belgian knows his side will turn up at Parkhead with no-one outside of Auchenhowie giving them a chance.
On the eve of his fifth Old Firm and still searching for his first derby win, he said: “This game is always important. For the fans, we know it’s their game of the season and it’s our biggest rival. There’s been a negative perception around the club, with the stadium, elimination from the Champions League, all of those things.
“We’ll do that. But we’re not the finished article, which is normal because we’re rebuilding with 16 players leaving. But I know there’s only one truth at the end and that’s what’s happening on the pitch. “I care about what our fans are thinking because I want them 200% behind this team, to help the players. That’s the only thing that’s important to me.
