Every year in northern England goths descend upon a small town that inspired Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula.
has been attending the Whitby Goth Weekend for 10 years and in 2019 hit upon the idea of setting up a makeshift studio to photograph the attendees.
“Over the course of three days, I photographed about 150 people varying in ages from about eight years old to people well into their 70s.” “I would get to hear about where people had traveled from for the festival and the incredible detail and hours people would put into their outfits,” says Burnett.
