Irish actor Pierce Brosnan has signed on to star alongside Tom Hardy and Helen Mirren in a new 'global crime series' from acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie .
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Navan native Brosnan will play Conrad Harrigan, the head of a successful Irish crime family based out of London, while Mirren will play Maeve Harrigan, Conrad’s wife and the Harrigan family matriarch.READ MORE: Halle Berry says James Bond co-star Pierce Brosnan ‘restored my faith in men’
In addition to his on-screen role, Hardy is signed on to executive produce the series alongside Ritchie and Irish screenwriter Ronan Bennett, who createD the hit crime drama Top Boy. “Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren are masters at their craft and we are honored to have them lead the cast for Guy Ritchie’s new global, original series,” said Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios.
