Green Party senator calls for 'wasteful' election posters on lamp posts to be banned
Posters plaguing our lamp posts will be a thing of the past if a proposal from the Green Party in the Seanad on Wednesday is adopted.
The Greens want to ban the widespread postering at election time, when traditionally, almost every telegraph pole in the country is festooned with the mugs of politicians. “Citizens have regularly shown their opposition to the visual impact of these posters, and with more candidates for more parties than ever running now, these effects are only going to get worse.
