Customers were saddened by the news

A bar and restaurant near Nottinghamshire has closed after its owners had a meeting with administrators. The "devastating" news was announced by the owners of The Sanctuary Garden on Monday, December 26.

The owners’ post was received with an outpouring of support from customers, many of whom were saddened and disappointed by the news. Nearly 150 comments had been left, Derbyshire Live reports. One said: “This is devastating news for the whole community. We had our wedding reception there only a few months ago. May we wish you all of the best going forward as you will be sorely missed.”

The kitchen was open for the final time on Christmas Eve. The owners have offered refunds to all those who had Christmas vouchers pre-booked, having ceased the sale of the vouchers as soon as they knew of their potential closure. They thanked everyone who had supported the business throughout 2022.
