The latest on the future of indoor drinks and food
Following this week's decision to delay the return of indoor services for restaurants and pubs, the sector is facing an uncertain future during its busiest time of summer.
There will be no limit on the number of people who can visit together if they are all fully protected by vaccination or have recovered from Covid-19 infection in the previous nine months. What's being said about pubs? Tànaiste Leo Varadkar has said that the Government will be "pausing for three weeks" with regards to the opening of indoor activities. July 19 being targeted as a return date but nothing official has been confirmed.

In epidemiological terms, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Ronan Glynn, has said that the “most optimistic” estimate for case numbers would be close to 1,000 a day.
