Buckingham Palace made the sad announcement via their Twitter page, confirming: “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.
He continued, “Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the @onjfoundation.”
Sorvino was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was in a variety of roles. Sorvino earned a Tony nomination for his role in “That Championship Season” and appeared in a long list of movies that included Nixon, Dick Tracy, Reds, and The Rocketeer. His best-known role is portraying mobster Paulie Cicero in Martin Scorcese’s GoodFellas. Sorvino is also the father to Academy Award-winning actress Mira Sorvino. She tweeted, “My father the great Paul Sorvino has passed,” tweeted Mira, 54.
Parker was first diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer, in 2020. “What do I want from the future? More time with my kids. More time with my wife. More time with life,” he said in his 2021 documentary, Tom Parker: Inside My Head. “And I feel like that’s going to happen. I’ve got that positive outlook on life. And I think when you take strength and courage from other people around you, that really helps.
