The late Queen Elizabeth II, known for her sharp wit, once had a laugh with Olympic champion Tom Daley and his Team GB mates about her stature, suggesting she might have a go at gymnastics.
In 2017, the Queen showed her appreciation for gymnastics again while presenting an award to six-time Olympic medallist Max Whitlock. The celebrated gymnast recounted that the Queen had told him she "loved watching the gymnastics because the stuff that we do doesn't seem possible".
In 2016, she showed her support for Prince Harry's Invictus Games by participating in a hilarious video response to the Obamas ahead of the tournament in Orlando, Florida. Her racing manager, John Warren, said last month that this recognition would bring a "lot of inner pride" to the sovereign, adding "I suspect that the Queen will have a lot of inner pride in being invited into the Hall of Fame."
