A 'quick thinking' Dublin Bus driver saved passengers after the bus they were on caught fire on Monday night, November 6.
"A quick-thinking driver ensured that everyone was safe by organising a prompt evacuation. Working with crews from Wicklow Fire ServiceLast night Dun Laoghaire firefighters were called to an engine compartment fire on board a bus.In their post, Dublin Fire Brigade included a picture of the remains of the bus after the fire, which looks to have gutted the vehicle.
Windows at the rear of the bus appear to have been smashed and the outside of the vehicle was left completely scorched.No injuries were reported by the Fire Brigade, thanks to the quick actions of the bus driver. A similar incident occurred last week on Sheriff Street in Dublin, when a bus erupted into flames on Spencer Bridge. Dublin Fire Brigade quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the blaze and nobody was injured.7 months ago
