Legendary RTE Radio host Marian Richardson bids emotional farewell after 40 years with the station
Marian Richardson has bid an emotional farewell to listeners as she left RTE after 40 years with the station.She bowed out on Playback on RTE Radio 1 after nine years at the helm.Her career with RTE began in the late 70s, where she became famous for her role on the iconic children's show Bosco.
In her final broadcast, Marian thanked listeners for their support over the years, and paved the way for her successor Ronan Kelly. "Public service broadcasting at its best, and it was often at its best, is a glorious thing, so thank you for listening.
