It was a night of misery for the Light Blues at Hampden after going down to 10 men.

Rangers crashed out of the Champions League in controversial circumstances at Hampden as Dynamo Kyiv hit a late double after the Light Blues were left fuming at a red card for Jefte .

There weren’t many chances but the ones that fell Rangers’ way were wasted. Tom Lawrence had a great opportunity but he lost his footing at the critical moment as he prepared to pull the trigger and lost possession. Heorhiy Bushchan then pushed away Ross McCausland’s low effort in what was the first real piece of action for either keeper.

Red card a Var-ce Rangers will rage at Jefte’s sending off - and rightly so. His initial booking could even have been viewed as harsh but the second came as he innocently jumped to win a header.
