The former Scotland manager believes referee Matthew MacDermid was wrong to give the goal at Hampden and vented his frustrations following the full-time whistle
The decision to award Rangers their opening goal against St Johnstone was questioned by Saints boss Craig Levein after the game.
Levein was gutted after his side's 2-0 defeat in the Premier Sports Cup. They were well in the game against Philippe Clement’s side when Cyriel Dessers put the home side ahead. MacDermid appeared to blow his whistle for a foul by the Nigerian striker on defender Jack Sanders and chalk the goal off, reports The Daily Record.
“I didn’t speak to the referee, what's the point? I've been there a hundred times and I end up getting fined and then doubling my fine and then doubling it again. Some of the players said he blew the whistle but how could you hear? I don't know.
