He joined the refereeing pathway and was promoted to the national group list of referees in 2018 and has been refereeing in the EFL since. This is his first game featuring Rob Edwards' men and he has so far dished out six yellow cards in two matches, Blackburn Rovers' 1-0 win over QPR on day one of the season and Oxford United's 5-3 Carabao Cup penalty shoot-out win over Swansea City on Tuesday.Burnley are on the same number of points but two places further up the table.
