The latest Resident Evil remake rumours claim that 1 and 5 are off the menu but that Code: Veronica and Zero are happening.
Resident Evil – Code: Veronica – this really should’ve been remade earlier With multiple preview showcases due to take place in June the internet is filling up with leaks and rumours about what they might involve. We’ve already had some in-fighting between Resident Evil leakers, over whether or not a Resident Evil 1 remake is underway, but a new rumour, from the source that claims it’s not, suggests that Capcom is instead prepping remakes of Resident Evil Zero and CODE: Veronica.
Resident Evil Zero was released the same year as the original Resident Evil 1 remake and was clearly an attempt by Capcom to make back the money they spent on what was at the time a GameCube exclusive. It used the same hi-end pre-rendered graphics and was partially set in the same mansion location as Resident Evil 1. It was fine but easily missable, even though it’s chronologically the first entry in the series – if only by a few hours.
