Cristiano Ronaldo was full of appreciation for the minute's applause held at Anfield LFC MUFC
Applause rang around Anfield from both sets of fans in the seventh minute and the home faithful chanted ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.
Reacting on Thursday, the 37-year-old said on Instagram: “Me and my family will never forget this moment of respect and compassion.Speaking after the match, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp described the tribute as his ‘moment of the match’. The German said: “Pure class in the moment where everyone knows since yesterday so many things are much more important in life. That was my moment of the game.”
Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez were expecting twins – and took solace from the birth of their daughter.“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” the couple’s emotional statement read.“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.
“We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.
