RTÉ Ear to the Ground presenter Darragh McCullough has revealed that he was turned away from the EU border while trying to bring home his new-born baby, who was born via surrogate

An RTÉ presenter has opened up about being turned away from the EU border while trying to bring home his new-born baby daughter, who was born via surrogate in North Cyrpus.

The next day, the couple, who have been married for 16 years, got a direct flight to Paphos in South Cyprus. They then got a two hour taxi to the North, where they arrived to the hospital where they met their baby daughter Grace for their first time. "She's doing great, she's feeding great, she's doesn't scream her head off too much."

He also revealed that they didn't enter into surrogacy lightly, adding that IVF didn't work out for them. In his case, everyone involved has legal representation and a DNA test has been done.
