On Tuesday, a Ryanair flight was forced to do a U-turn and make an emergency landing in Belfast

Flight attendants working on a Ryanair flight that was forced to make an emergency landing were reportedly "left in tears" while passengers were "terrified" during the ordeal.

Passengers on board the flight have claimed that "a door was left open" while it took off, with some of them reporting to Belfast Live that they were "aware something was wrong" from the moment the plane took off. In a statement, a spokesperson for the budget airline expressed apologies for any inconvenience caused, stating that the emergency landing was due to a “minor technical issue.”

"The aircraft landed normally and to minimise disruption to passengers, an alternative aircraft was quickly arranged, which departed for Edinburgh Airport at 00:40am local. Ryanair sincerely apologises to all affected customers for any inconvenience caused.”
