The pop star has always dreamed of representing Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest
Irish R&B singer Samantha Mumba has been announced as the fourth hopeful for Ireland’s 2025 Eurovision entry. The Dubliner, 42, has already had an impressive career after her debut single Gotta Tell You topped the charts in Ireland when she was just 17 years old.
Emmy, a 24-year-old Norwegian singer, was also announced today as the fifth hopeful for Ireland’s Eurovision entry. Artists do not have to be Irish to represent Ireland at the Eurovision, nor do they have to have an Irish connection. In 2021, she participated in the Melodi Grand Prix, Norway's national selection of a song for the Eurovision Song Contest. Emmy is especially known for singing on TikTok and has a profile with 1.2 million followers.
