England manager Sarina Wiegman responds to Megan Campbell’s long throw-ins Ireland defender Megan Campbell caused chaos in the second-half with her amazing long throws.

“They made it a real fight by putting players up front and the throw-ins, which were spectacular,” exclaimed Wiegman. “We had to really fight in one-v-ones in 18-yard box, it’s a lesson for us, if we win the ball we really want to keep the ball and play out of the press and make our own momentum again. That’s what we struggled with a bit.

“I just hoped that when we got out of those moments we could create our own momentum by winning those balls and keeping the balls better. “That’s where we struggled, we kept giving them the momentum.” Wiegman added: “I do think we played well. The second-half at moments we did good too, but they got momentum and we were struggling.
