Schools in Scotland to be closed by further strike action following Unison vote

Unison has announced a rolling programme of strike action in schools across Scotland from Monday.

Scotland will face further school strikes in the coming weeks after Unison members voted in favour of industrial action.It comes after Unison members voted overwhelmingly to reject Cosla’s pay offer. Nine in ten workers - some 89.92 per cent - voted against the offer in a consultative ballot.Unison will now move to a rolling programme of action in schools, and early years establishments linked to schools. Dates are set to be announced in the coming days.
