A new study has revealed the most upbeat Scottish city to live in based on new data from the Office for National Statistics' personal well-being survey.
New research has revealed Scotland's "happiest" city to live in, and it is neither Edinburgh or Glasgow .
Coming in at number one as the happiest city both in Scotland and the UK is Inverness. The largest city and cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands received a "happiness score" of 7.83 out of 10. Inverness is also known for its flourishing culinary scene, with a wide range of restaurants, cafés, and delis to enjoy a meal. From upscale Michelin-recognised venues such as Rocpool to local favourites like The Mustard Seed Restaurant and River House, there is something to satiate your taste buds no matter what you are craving.
