The Scottish Government faces a backlash for agreeing to meet with an Israeli representative while Gaza is still subject to repeated bombing raids.
The SNP has been accused of "hypocrisy" after a Scottish Government minister was pictured meeting with a senior Israel i diplomat.
A spokesman said Robertson and Grudsky "discussed areas of mutual interest" while the SNP minister also "reiterated the Scottish Government’s position in calling for an immediate ceasefire by all sides in Gaza". "Humza Yousaf deserves respect for his leadership in calling for a ceasefire and a ban on arms sales to Israel, but when it comes to areas within the Scottish Government’s direct control we’ve seen months of inaction, now followed by worrying revelations of attempts to build closer ties to Israel.
