'Suga' Sean O'Malley became the UFC Bantamweight Champion last night, and fans have been comparing his stoppage of Aljamain Sterling to Conor McGregor's famous KO of Jose Aldo.
It was a stunning display of speed and timing by the 28-year-old, and one that evoked memories of a peak Conor McGregor in the minds of many fans.The Notorious' 2015 KO of Jose Aldo has been compared to O'Malley's finish, and when put side by side, it does look eerily similar albeit O'Malley finishes Sterling with a straight right rather than McGregor's trademark straight left.
"Suga Sean O’Malley with the cleanest step back right to put away Aljo. Looks reminiscent of McGregor vs Aldo," said another.
