The highest number of people ever recorded to throw a welly at the same time was officially recorded as 792 five years ago in England
Youth farming group Macra is looking for 800 welly throwers to set a new world record at the Ploughing Championships.But Macra, formerly Macra na Feirme, wants to beat that and is calling for volunteers to help set a new record tomorrow.
“Macra encourages attendees at the National Ploughing Championships to participate in the world record attempt. “We want to see a country where young people can live, work and still come together for fun, this is the fun part.”
