Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious collision near Blakes Cross in Lusk, Dublin. The collision, involving a number of vehicles, occurred on the R129 at Thomondstown shortly before 10am this morning, Friday, January 31. The road is closed at this time and local diversions are in place at the junction with the R132 road in Blakes Cross. A Garda spokesperson confirmed that no further information is available at this time.
This incident follows a fatal single-vehicle crash in Carlow during the early hours of this morning. Emergency services remain at the scene on the N80 in Leagh, Rathoe. Two men in the car – a driver and a passenger, both aged in their 20s – were pronounced dead at the scene.
