Fans of Irish writer Sharon Horgan's parenting comedy Motherland have been left devastated after it was confirmed that the hit series won't be returning for a fourth season.

Morgan mentioned there might be a new show about Amanda, a character from Motherland, reports the Mirror. "Sobbing shaking crying screaming throwing up but also can you imagine an amanda spinoff. I need to see that tbh," another added, with a third saying: "WHAT? ! This is easily the best BBC comedy in YEARS! Gutted."
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star Ellie Kemper had been set to executive produce and star in the now cancelled show.
