Shefflin’s initial three-year term is up next year, but he looks set to commit to a stay beyond 2024.
HENRY SHEFFLIN IS set to commit his future to Galway for the next few seasons as he bids to lead the Tribesmen to silverware in his first stint as an inter-county manager.
But Galway GAA chairman Paul Bellew said that Shefflin has confirmed he is remaining on board and now both parties are looking at extending the term beyond the initial three-year deal. Shefflin’s confirmation of remaining for a third year does not require ratification but an extension of his term would need to come before a meeting of the county committee.
