Ryan and Sinead struck up a somewhat unlikely friendship after the musician's several appearances on The Late Late Show
Ryan Tubridy has revealed the words of kindness and support he received from the late Sinead O'Connor during his recent struggles amid the ongoing RTE payments scandal.
Sinead passed away aged 56, having been found unresponsive by UK police officers at her penthouse flat in London on Wednesday.The death of the Nothing Compares 2 U songstress has sparked a flood of tributes, both in Ireland and globally, and Ryan Tubridy took the opportunity to express how much Sinead meant to him after she reached out to him during a period of much turmoil for the now-former Late Late Show host.
"She told me that sometimes bad situations were really just visits from ‘God in a hoodie’ whereby you think you’re being mugged but there’s a higher purpose – beautifully Sinéad!
