Sky Sports have confirmed that Fantasy Football League, the iconic show previously fronted by David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, will not return in its current format later this year
Fantasy Football League has been cancelled by Sky less than two years after the broadcaster green lit its reincarnation.
However, the programme's return has proved to be short-lived with Spencer Millman, a producer on the show, confirming via his social media account that Fantasy Football League will not be returning for the 2024/25 season. "A massive thanks to all the sofa & phoenix guests we had over the 24 shows, we loved having you. Huge love to Matt, Elis, Mense and of course Lee Trundle but most importantly thanks to the people who watched it.
Fantasy Football League is the latest show from Sky Sports ' weekend offering to be culled. The broadcaster made the controversial decision to axe Soccer AM last year, ending the iconic programme's near 30 year run.The show, which was originally fronted by Tim Lovejoy and Helen Chamberlain, was a staple of Sky Sports Saturday morning schedule for decades and was wildly popular in its pomp.
