Janna Mullaney plans to open a store in Midleton next year and further expand the online business that sells woman-owned brands

Janna Mullaney encountered an unexpected snag earlier this year while pushing Sleepy Chicken, the business she started in 2021.

Based in Midleton, Co Cork, Sleepy Chicken sells woman-owned brands from Ireland and around the world. “We try to put women and mums at the centre. They can buy accessories for themselves, their kids and their home. I’d found that those were often all separate things, so the mum’s personality was taken out,” Mullaney told the Business Post.
