Met Éireann has said heavy rain will turn to sleet and snow today.
A Status Yellow snow-ice warning is in place for Munster, Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Galway and Roscommon.Much of the snow will be above 200m with a local dusting of snow at lower levels.
Wet and slushy roads are likely to become icy in places overnight as temperatures drop below freezing.There is also a Status Yellow rainfall warning for Munster and Leinster with up to 35mm of rain forecast in some areas.
