The Ciaran Hinds-led show aired on RTE on March 1
Just over 200,000 people tuned in to watch Oscar-nominated Ciaran Hinds make his debut in RTE's The Dry.
RTE decided to release the entire eight-episode series on the RTE Player for fans to binge after the first two episodes. A spokesman for RTE said: “An average of 222K watched the first two episodes of the Dry on RTÉ One .
