Novibet's Punchestown offers are too good to pass up
Sixty kilos of cheese, 15,000 portions of petit fours desserts and canapes will be downed, along with thousands of pints, this week at the Punchestown Racing Festival. More than 110,000 fans are expected this week for the Co. Kildare event.Generating an estimated €60million for the local economy, the five-day spectacular boasts 40 races and a prize fund of more than €3.3million and the meeting attracts the best of Irish and British racing talent.
The entries for the flagship races feature equine superstars including major festival players Galopin Des Champs, Fastorslow, Capodanno and Gentlemansgame, who are all backed heavily by Irish bookies. Having just won the British Jump Trainers' Championship, there’s little doubt that the opening day of Punchestown is all about Willie Mullins as he prepares to field yet another star-studded team.
A man used to continually setting records, this season is no different, as he has already broken his own 2022/23 record of 237 winners in Ireland, hitting 238 back in March with over a month to go. He'll be expecting to add to that tally this week at Punchestown.
