St Brigid’s Day is fast approaching. And the woman herself deserves all the excitement and celebration.Instead of sitting in over the bank holiday weekend, here are five St Brigid’s Day events happening around the country that you, your family or your friends can take part in!From Friday 31st of January to Monday 3rd of February 2025, Dublin City Council are proudly returning Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women.
The Festival was built off of Brigid 1500 in hopes of engaging with a different crowd on a deeper level and providing a diverse line-up of events that will engage with communities, artists, and global audiences. The aim of the festival is to keep St. Brigid’s story and spirit alive in a creative and cultural way.
The festival aims to celebrate Brigid in her earliest form, Brigid the goddess. The full schedule for this festival is not ready to be shared yet however, the coordinators have shared that many cultural events and performances will take place including pieces by Francis Crowe, Margo Nulty, Lea Farrell, Olena Kosalevych and also historical talks and some short plays.
