Fresh off the damaging winds brought about by Storm Kathleen, next week begins with another weather warning for several counties.
The warning will come into effect at midnight on Monday morning and will remain valid for a full 24 hours, expiring at midnight on Tuesday morning. Delivering the latest warning, the national forecaster explained that the possible impacts of the heavy rain due to fall may be flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
"Rain will extend to most areas during Monday morning but parts of the very far northwest of the country may hold dry," a Met Eireann spokesperson said.
