Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for eight Irish counties as the good weather comes to an end.
Some of the possible impacts that come with the warning include hazardous travelling conditions, localised flooding and poor visibility.There is also a thunderstorm warning for for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Derry, issued by the UK Met Office.
Status Yellow – Thunderstorm warning for Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Wicklow Weather Warning issued for today from midday to 7:30pm. Some other areas could still see thunderstorms.Met Éireann’s national forecast for today reads: “Mist and any fog patches generally clearing this morning to leave a mix of cloud, sunny spells and showers today.
Showers and thunderstorms are set to die out overnight, however a spell of persistent rain will then develop in the southwest around midnight, extending north over much of Munster, Connacht and south Leinster overnight.Rain will extend nationwide on Monday morning, with heavy falls in places. Brighter weather will develop in the south and west during afternoon and evening with a mix of sunshine and scattered showers.
