The Hoops boss reckons their rivals will be rubbing their hands having to play the League of Ireland champions
Stephen Bradley has urged Shamrock Rovers fans to keep expectations in check going into Europe's league phase.
Rovers begin the league phase at home to Cypriot giants APOEL on October 3 and follow up with Larne away and TNS at home. “We’re happy with the draw but it’s going to be tough because Europe is tough. I’m sure all those teams are looking at it and are happy to get us. That’s the way it works. Sitting sixth in the table, they are 13 points adrift of leaders Shelbourne and only have one game in hand on Damien Duff’s Reds.
No Irish team has contested the knockout rounds in Europe before, with Dundalk’s four-point haul in 2016 still the record return for a League of Ireland side.
