Three people were detained by cops
The driver of a suspected stolen Lexus rammed the motor into police cars as he tried to escape - before being arrested. Greater Manchester Police said officers chased down the car, believed to have been solen in Worsley, Salford, overnight.
Cops later clocked the car, a gold Lexus RX450h, being driven along the M60. Officers from GMP's roads policing unit tracked down the car but the driver wouldn't stop. Officers eventually brought it to a halt with a stinger. An image shared by GMP Traffic earlier today showed a flat front tyre completely flat, with the car coming to a stop on a pavement.GMP said the driver tried to escape by ramming the Lexus into the police vehicles. But the three occupants failed to escape police, who arrested the trio.
A spokesperson for GMP Traffic tweeted: "This Lexus was stolen overnight in a burglary from Worsley. It was seen by RPU on the M60 and stinger deployed as it exited the motorway. The driver attempt to flee by ramming into our vehicles.Join our WhatsApp Top Stories and Breaking News group by clicking this link
