Spoiler Alert 🔴 | Stranger Things star Grace Van Dien has claimed that an ‘important’ character will be killed off in the show's final season.
‘I heard someone important is gonna die,’ she said in response to a question asking if she’d watch season 5 after her character was killed off.‘That’s public,’ she added.While her comments sparked a big reaction, she’s not the only person to drop some details about what’s next.
Earlier this year the series’ writers posted on social media that: ‘Season 5 is like if season 1 and 4 had a baby. And then that baby was injected with steroids.’ Some fans said they already felt ‘traumatised’ by this juicy tidbit, with one tweeting in response: ‘I’m so worried.’ ‘Am I supposed to feel ok after hearing this,’ someone else wrote, while another remarked: ‘Ok so what I’m hearing is Will Byers getting the screen time he deserves again but it being even more traumatising.’However, the fandom surrounding the show has been toxic at times, with Grace targeted by trolls after appearing.
This was addressed by her co-star Joseph during a live Q&A at Showmasters’ London Comic Con in March when he said it was‘I was talking to her about it. The internet is a very unforgiving place. It’s a place where people can show a lot of support, or where people can rally around hatred and misinformation,’ he said.He added: ‘It’s indicative of where we are culturally, just through association she was getting lambasted. It’s disgusting. I don’t know what to say other than it sucks.
