Singer Shayne Ward enjoyed huge solo success in his music career but he was close to being part of a very famous group too. Now, the actor is taking on the Strictly Come Dancing challenge
Former Corrie star Shayne Ward is delighted to have been paired with 'phenomenal' dancer Nancy Xu in Strictly Come Dancing .
And Shayne, who will turn 40 on October 16, says taking part in the contest is the perfect way to mark his milestone birthday. The singer had shot to fame back in 2005 when he was mentored by Louis Walsh and won The X Factor. His bestselling debut single That's My Goal was followed by several albums. Now The Good Ship Murder star is taking on the BBC reality show challenge, saying: "I'm buzzing to see all of the sparkles and magic that is Strictly in real life. I'm no stranger to live TV, but dancing Latin and Ballroom in front of millions is a whole new level. No promises on my dancing ability, but I will give it my best shot!"
